It’s been almost 9 months since I came to Brisbane, I still remember the first ever time when I went to QUT GP, the first ever person whom I asked for direction, the first ever lecture that I attended, the first ever friend whom I got to know. It seems that all these just happened yesterday. How time flies!
During these 9 months, I’ve found so many lovely things around, lovely people, lovely environment, and lovely BOTANIC GARDEN, I still remember the first time I went to GP, I was like ‘humm…QUT is not too small, at least there’s a big garden!’ but after a few days, I was told that, the ’big garden’ didn’t belong to QUT, but still, I was like ‘never mind, I’ll consider it as a part of QUT anyway!’ So since then, Botanic garden has become my good friend, in the first semester, I had a 3 hours’ break every thursday, so I spent most of the break time in botanic garden, sometimes taking a nap on the chair (some people were surprised to know
), sometimes reading, sometimes having my late lunch, sometimes having a walk…day by day, it has become one of my habits, even in the second semester, when I didn’t have any break time during my 6 hours’ lectures+tutorials, sometimes I would still go to the botanic garden after uni.
There’re times when I feel down, depressed, or gloomy, and I will go to the botanic garden, just to quiet down my heart, it’s joyful to see the crystal sky, the flying birds, the picnicking people, and all those kids who are playing around with each other. Sometimes people will stop and give me a smile, wow…that’s so sweet!
Praise God for botanic garden, it is a place full of peace and joy, and it is a place where I can stop for a while and take a rest and get refreshed!
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
